Businessman-paymaster and criminal-perpetrator were convicted under the case of a 12 years old murder
The case was initiated over murder of man in 2004. Targets of the investigation were members of Osinovskaya organized criminal grouping (OCG) and its main force – Metsenatovskie.
Transbaicalian Regional Court found local businessman Aleksander Cherepyanko and previously convicted Vyacheslav Eremenko guilty.

It is known though, that ten years before his death the murdered committed a crime concerning the businessman’s wife. She is connected to the investigation as an aggrieved and requested a private questioning as the intimate information, which may be voiced, could harm the woman.
The Investigation discovered that Eremenko with three his accomplices got the victim drunk in a café. After that, the man was brought to one of the garage cooperatives, where he was strangled. The victim’s body was taken out to suburban country cooperative and hidden in a country house, which was then set on fire.
Aleksander Cherepyanko was found guilty in instigation to murder, committed for hire (art. 33 para. 4, art. 105 para. 2 subpara «z» of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and was sentenced to 12 years in colony of strict regime. 45-years-old five time convicted Vyacheslav Eremenko was adjudged guilty in murder, committed for hire (art. 105 para. 2 subpara. «zh» and «z» of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He received a punishment of 23 years of imprisonment. Moreover, the convicted will each pay one million rubles to the murderer’s sister.
Aleksander Cherepyanko is known as the owner of the «Shiny ot Nikolaevicha» shop. In 2013 he also tried to stand for a Legislative Assembly from the Grazhdanskaya Platforma (Civil Platform) Party.
It is mentioned that the investigator discovered the crime during another criminal case’s investigation, the details of which are also concealed on behalf of the investigation. Concerning other accessories of the murder, their cases were severed and the investigation over them continues.
Testimony against Cherepyanko gave members of Osinovskaya OCG and its main force – Metsenatovskie. According to the grouping’s leader Dmitry Vedernikov (Vedera), businessman turned to them requesting a contract murder. Earlier, it was reported that another member of the OCG was a perpetrator of the assassination – Andrey Dryunin (Dryunya junior). He was arrested in 2015 in the Irkutsk Region.
In April 2016 he was convicted to 9 years of imprisonment for another contract assassination attempt, commited in November 2003 in Chita. Several criminal cases were initiated against him.
In March 2016 court convicted 11 members of Osinovskaya OCG to long terms.
