Accomplice in Politkovskaya’s murder turns out to be valuable witness in shooting of Forbes chief editor
The convicted ex-employee of the Moscow police department, Dmitry Pavlyuchenkov, was taken under state protection.
Former Moscow policeman Dmitry Pavlyuchenkov, who was convicted for complicity in the murder of journalist Anna Politkovskaya, was taken under protection as a valuable witness in the case of the shooting of Russian Forbes’s editor-in-chief, Paul Klebnikov, Rosbalt news agency reported.
The investigation is conducted by the ICR officer Solonkin, who also works on the case of the murder of the former GRU fighter Nikita Belyankin in a brawl. Pavlyuchenkov has been under state protection since 2013.
Paul Klebnikov was killed on July 9, 2004. According to investigators, Kazbek and Magomed Dukuzovs, Musa Vakhayev and Khozh-Akhmed Nukhayev are involved in the murder.
